Learning Formats

Onsite training

Our instructor-led training is offered in a variety of formats. For your convenience, we can deliver training onsite, at your office, EU wide. Alternatively, let us secure a training venue in your area.

You have the option of choosing a balanced, time-tested generic course or we can customise courses to suite your specific needs. However you choose to upskill, all your training requirements are in safe hands.

What you can expect:
  • Experienced team with 1000’s of people trained since Gain IT began
  • Comprehensive training materials in e-format or printed option
  • E-evaluation feedback forms and attendee sign in sheet
  • Email access to training feedback and support from our trainers
  • Easy access online calendar to view available booking dates

Virtual online learning

If you're under pressure to do more for less, then live virtual learning is another option. Using Microsoft Teams, or any online business application you prefer to use, we offer the same high-standards as instructor-led classroom training, with interaction you would expect at a training venue.

However, many still feel that some courses cannot be delivered in a virtual classroom environment. But we disagree, live online learning is ideal for both technical and end user training.

  • Reduced travel/costs
  • Flexibility
  • Follow-up support

The primary advantage is reduced travel times and costs, with the benefit of not having to spend time away from your desk, all adds up to minimal downtime. Because we can accommodate different time zones, location is irrelevant as long as you are online.

Finding time to attend an instructor-led training course might seem like an impossibility, however, virtual sessions can be arranged to fit your schedule with bite-sized two hour sessions.

We typically host online sessions on Microsoft Teams, where attendees can see and hear the trainer, and the trainer can hear the attendees. Working together, hands-on with computers.

To keep the course interesting, it has to be interactive, therefore the trainer will regularly check your progress, and you are free to ask questions, no matter how silly you might think it is, at any time.

There's no need to subscribe to Microsoft Teams, as a free web app downloads the first time you join a meeting. Learn more

One to one training

Of all the training formats discussed so far, this offers the greatest flexibility and choice.

We will create a tailored training course whether the content is taken from our standard outlines or not, including a bespoke course working with your files.

Training can be arranged onsite, at one of our London venues or near-site.

Drop in surgery

When time away from the desk is critical, we can "drop-in" our trainers to your offices for consultations with your staff, on specific questions.

Sessions typically involve a maximum of two delegates at a time with a trainer, lasting around an hour each, and run over a day or morning/afternoons.

This enables key training issues to be resolved with a large number of delegates while minimising impact on working time, and increased efficiency.

If you are rolling out software for a department, company-wide or at multiple locations, we have the training logistics to deliver.

We specialise in all IT upgrade roll-outs, whether upgrading to Office 365 or an in=-house bespoke application.

Floorwalking allows your business the opportunity to have staff trained on their specific queries with minimal downtime from work. It is a perfect partner to other training formats such as IT roll-outs, classroom based training and eLearning.

This method of training provides the ideal opportunity to freely evaluate staff skills, allowing trainers to identify certain areas of a training requirement, increasing productivity even further with additional appropriate training courses.

Training needs analyses

Assessing training needs for yourself let alone multiple people can be a tricky matter. The last thing you want is to arrange training that isn't suitable, so selecting the right course is key.

For this purpose, we can supply training need analyses forms to help with group assessments, allowing us to recommend the right course and level.
